The Approach

Brand Lounge's approach to digital transformation starts with understanding the people the platform needs to serve before making a single design decision.

For FANN, that meant going back to the organisation itself — running a structured stakeholder discovery session to surface the core objectives: recruiting more youth into the platform, bringing clarity to FANN's core offerings, and creating a centralised destination where audiences could consistently track upcoming workshops and events.

From there, a user strategy was developed around two distinct audience journeys — youth seeking to engage with FANN's programmes, and partners looking to run workshops or sponsor events. Each journey was mapped independently before being integrated into a unified site architecture built through the lens of the user rather than the organisation.

A full competitor audit and digital benchmarking exercise informed every structural decision, ensuring the rebuild was grounded in both best practice and genuine audience insight.

The Solution

The guiding principle was simple: a platform should feel like a platform. Rather than following conventional website logic, the site was designed to behave with the same energy and conviction as the brand it represented — loud, maximalist, and deliberately unexpected.

Heavy use of animation, video, and interactive elements gave the experience an immediacy that felt native to Gen Z and true to FANN's bold visual identity. Nothing about the site felt safe, and that was exactly the point.

FANN's four core disciplines — filmmaking, photography, multimedia, and animation — were presented as distinct platforms rather than service pages, directly reinforcing the brand's repositioned strategy and giving each offering its own clear identity within the broader system.

The website was designed and developed entirely in-house by the Brand Lounge team, ensuring complete coherence between the brand strategy, the visual identity, and the digital experience.
